The fact that Whiskey comes from grain feels like magic. How could something so complex and pleasurable to drink come from seeds? Liqueur takes its flavor from leaves, roots, bark, skins and seeds extracted into alcohol and sweetened to offset the intensity of those flavors. Is that a satisfying explanation of the sensory experience liqueurs produce? We think that the experience of drinking our spirits is the only way to understand our spirits.
